Application of 4,4′-Bis(methoxymethyl)diphenyl ether
4,4′-Bis(methoxymethyl)diphenyl ether (MMDPE for short) is an important monomer for the production of polydiphenyl ether derivatives. The polydiphenyl ether resin is obtained by polycondensation, crosslinking and curing of the monomer. It has the advantages of high-temperature resistance, good electrical insulation, corrosion resistance, and strong adhesion. Now it has been widely used in the manufacture of reinforced materials, electrical insulation materials, mechanical engineering materials, etc.
A high-performance photosensitive coating prepared by polycondensation of 4,4-Dimethoxy methyl diphenyl ether and aromatic diazo compounds, adding plasticizers, tackifiers, dyes, pigments, color developers, leveling agents, and UV absorbers. It can be applied to paper, metal, plastic, and other substances to make imaging plates. The polycondensate can also be used to produce positive or negative photoresists for making printed PS plates.
4,4′-Oxybis[(methoxymethyl)benzen is also an important monomer for the production of new composite materials such as casting adhesives, sheet adhesives, radiation-sensitive recording materials, and high-speed water-soluble printing emulsions. Its uses are very extensive.
